The Arrival

Every journey encounter challenges and difficulties and this trip was no exception. At Pearson International airport the group found out Philippine Airlines only allowed 15 lbs. for carry- on luggage. This was strictly enforced as the carry-ons were weighed at the check-in counter then again before boarding the flight.  If there is a difference with the weighing scale used at home and theirs, their scale prevails.  And so contents were redistributed and other personal contents had to be left behind.

The group try to figure out the best way to redistribute personal belongings because of excess weight. Recent policy implemented by Philippine airlines limits carry-on to 15 lbs. In the end a few personal things had to be left behind. Guess who is going to bring it back home?

The other problem was that all luggage’s (including the Humanitarian Medical Boxes) were to be claimed at Manila International Airport and to be transferred to the local flight to Zamboanga City. The impression during our organization  meeting was that the boxes would be shipped straight to Zamboanga City Airport. Needless to say that tempers flared amongst the group.
